Cashback and its one correct use
Of all promotions, cashback is the easiest to evaluate, because it requires no change of behaviour: it is calculated from what has already happened. That is also what makes it the easiest to misread, the moment someone starts playing in order to increase it.
See active promotionsThe basis is net loss
Cashback returns a percentage of the net loss over a period — daily, weekly or monthly, as the promotion defines. Net loss means the difference between what left the balance through stakes and what came back through winnings during that interval. A week that closes in profit generates no cashback, because there is nothing to absorb.
There are also offers calculated on total turnover regardless of outcome. They are a different product, even when marketed under the same umbrella, and the distinction is legible in the rules: „net loss” and „volume staked” have nothing in common as bases.
Real money or bonus funds
| Credit form | Rollover | What it means in practice |
|---|---|---|
| Real money | None | Withdrawable immediately, like any own funds |
| Bonus funds | Usually light | Must be staked a few times before withdrawal |
This is the only distinction that genuinely matters here. A smaller percentage credited as real money can be worth more than a generous one locked behind a rollover. The mechanics of rollover, in every phrasing, are covered in the wagering requirements guide.
What else the rulebook says
- A minimum loss threshold below which the offer does not trigger at all.
- A maximum cap on the amount returned in a single period.
- Excluded categories, typically live tables or certain table games.
- How it is granted — automatically into the balance, or by manual claim with a deadline after which it disappears.
The last point produces most of the complaints: a cashback that had to be claimed and was not simply vanishes. The remaining clauses worth reading first are collected in bonus terms.
The line not to cross
Cashback returns a fraction of a loss. Increasing it therefore requires, mathematically, losing more. Any reasoning of the form „one more hour, I get a percentage back anyway” inverts the logic of the offer and turns a shock absorber into a reason to continue. That is precisely the pattern protection tools are built to break, and the simplest of them — a deposit limit — takes two minutes to set in the responsible gambling section.
Used correctly, cashback is the one promotion that asks nothing of you: no change of style, no balance locked for weeks, no additional deposit. The returned amount lands in the same lei balance from which withdrawals are made, through the channels described in the payments section.
