Gentlemen, assessed on what can be checked
The analysis below is not about atmosphere, graphics or sensations. It is about the five things anybody can verify in public sources and that determine a player’s actual experience: the licensing frame, offer transparency, cashier behaviour, availability of protection tools and the usefulness of support.

Open the platformCriterion 1: the licensing frame
Gentlemen presents itself as a licensed operator on the Romanian market. Verification is not ours to perform and should not be: the public ONJN register of authorised organisers shows the licence holder, the status of the licence and the domains covered. Our standing recommendation is that this step is taken by the reader before the first deposit, because it is the only one that cannot be delegated to a review.
Our observation: an operator working under a local licence brings a set of checkable obligations with it — identification, responsible-gambling tools, honouring the self-exclusion register, tax withheld at source. That is the real advantage over a platform with no local coverage, and it has nothing to do with the size of a bonus.
Criterion 2: offer transparency
A bonus is judged by four numbers: the wagering base, the multiplier, the expiry and the maximum stake. What we assess is not generosity but how reachable those four data points are. A rulebook that is public, legible and two clicks away says more about an operator than any percentage.
Drawback to note: as everywhere in the industry, game contribution works against intuition. An evening at the live tables can leave the rollover almost untouched, and that never appears in a banner. Details are in the wagering requirements guide.
Criterion 3: the cashier
| Element | Assessment |
|---|---|
| Currency | Lei, with no needless conversion for a local player |
| Channels | Cards, bank transfer, wallets, vouchers, crypto |
| Channel rule | Standard: money leaves the way it came in |
| First withdrawal | Waits for KYC, with no shortcut |
| Tax | Withheld at source, so the payout arrives net |
Drawback to note: prepaid vouchers fund an account but cannot receive payouts, which means a player using them will need a second verified channel anyway. The full comparison is in the payments section.
Criterion 4: protection tools
Deposit limits, time limits and play breaks are obligations of a licensed operator rather than optional features, and the most consequential of them is self-exclusion: Romania keeps a register administered by ONJN that licensed operators must honour. What we assess is how easily those settings are reached from inside an account — a tool buried five menus deep exists formally but not functionally. The full description is on the responsible gambling and self-exclusion pages.
Criterion 5: support
Declared response times do not interest us; the usefulness of the answer does. A fast message repeating a help page does not release a stalled withdrawal. What matters in practice is whether a case can be identified by its transaction reference and whether escalation has a clear route. What to prepare before writing is on the support page, and the formal route on the complaints page.
Who it suits and who it does not
Suits you if…
- You want a local frame verifiable in the authority’s register
- You prefer playing in lei without intermediate conversions
- You complete your verification file on day one
- You read promotion terms before accepting them
Does not suit you if…
- You are looking for a platform with no identification at all
- You expect to withdraw on registration day without KYC
- You expect bonus funds to be withdrawable immediately
- You treat gambling as income rather than entertainment
Why there is no score
A single number hides the useful information. A player who withdraws often has different priorities from one who deposits rarely and large, and an average would mislead both. For the same reason we publish no testimonials attributed to named individuals: we cannot verify them, and in this industry they are almost always written in-house. The full method is on the about page.
